GD: Inventory Sync Pro | Shopify Inventory App

Update Shopify stock by SKU, across your locations, in one go.

GD: Inventory Sync Pro is a free Shopify app for merchants who manage stock in spreadsheets. Import stock levels by SKU, export your current counts, and update one location or several in a single action, with a report that shows what changed and what failed.

What it does

Stop editing inventory one product at a time.

Shopify’s own inventory screens are fine for a few products and slow for a few thousand. The app moves stock work into a spreadsheet, then checks the result so mistakes show up straight away.

01

Update by SKU

One action, one location or many.

Upload a list of SKUs and quantities and update the lot, instead of opening each product. Choose a single location, or update several locations at once, whichever matches how you hold stock.

Updating

  • SKU-based updates
  • Manual updates
  • Bulk updates

Locations

  • Single location
  • Multiple locations
  • All locations

02

Import and export

Spreadsheet in, spreadsheet out.

Export your current stock-by-SKU list for one location or all of them. Use it for a stocktake or send it to a supplier, then import the corrected numbers back in.

Spreadsheets

  • Import stock by SKU
  • Export stock by SKU
  • Stocktake lists

03

Reports and error alerts

Know what changed, and what didn’t.

Every update produces a detailed report with error alerts and a list of failed items, so a mistyped SKU becomes a line in a report instead of a stock discrepancy you find weeks later.

Checking

  • Update reports
  • Error alerts
  • Failed items
  • Detailed logs

Pricing

Free to install, free to use.

Free

The App Store listing shows GD: Inventory Sync Pro as free, with no paid plans at the time of writing.

  • No subscription
  • Stock by SKU
  • Reports included

Pricing is taken from the app’s Shopify App Store listing and may change. Check the current listing before you install.

How it works

A stock update in three steps.

Export your current stock

Pull your stock-by-SKU list for one location or all of them, so you start from what Shopify actually holds.

  • Choose locations
  • Export by SKU
  • Use as a stocktake sheet

Edit and import

Correct the quantities in your spreadsheet, then import it and update one or several locations in a single action.

  • Edit quantities
  • Import by SKU
  • One action

Review the report

Check the update report for error alerts and failed items, fix those rows, and run them again if needed.

  • Error alerts
  • Failed items
  • Detailed logs

Who it’s for

Made for merchants who count stock in spreadsheets.

Multi-location retailers

Stock sits in a warehouse, a shop and perhaps a pop-up. Updating more than one location in a single action saves repeating the same job for each.

  • Several locations
  • One action
  • Location-based stock

Stocktakes and supplier deliveries

Export the list, count against it, and import the result. Or key a supplier’s delivery into a sheet and load the whole lot at once.

  • Stocktake
  • Deliveries
  • Bulk corrections

Stores outgrowing manual edits

Once you have hundreds of products, editing inventory by hand costs hours and invites errors. Import, export and failure reports keep it manageable.

  • Large catalogues
  • Fewer errors
  • Clear reports

Inventory Sync Pro is built around importing and exporting stock by SKU. If you need stock to move automatically between Shopify and a point of sale, warehouse system or ERP, that’s custom integration work, and it’s something we do. Tell us what you run and we’ll scope it.

We’d love to hear from you.

Want your stock to stay in step without the spreadsheets?

Install the free app from the Shopify App Store, or tell us what your stock lives in today and we’ll show you what an automatic connection would involve.

GD: Inventory Sync Pro is one of three Shopify apps we publish, alongside GD: Wholesale Pro for trade pricing and GD: Price Updater Pro for bulk price changes. If you outgrow a spreadsheet workflow, our point of sale integration and ERP integration services connect stock automatically instead.

The same team handles Shopify and Shopify Plus development, including store builds, migrations and custom apps. See our ecommerce development page for the wider picture. For the step-by-step method, read our guide to updating Shopify inventory in bulk by SKU.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is GD: Inventory Sync Pro really free?

The App Store listing shows it as free with no paid plans at the time of writing. Check the current listing for the latest pricing.

Does it sync automatically with my POS or ERP?

No. The app updates stock by SKU from the spreadsheets you import, and exports current counts. Automatic, ongoing sync with a point of sale or ERP is a custom integration, which we can scope for you. See our POS integration and ERP integration pages.

Can it handle more than one location?

Yes. You can update a single location or several in one action, and export stock-by-SKU lists for one location or all of them.

What happens if a row can’t be updated?

The update report lists failed items and error alerts, so you can see exactly which SKUs didn’t update and why, correct them and run them again.

What store data does the app access?

The listing sets out the access it requests, including the ability to edit inventory, products and locations. Read the data access section of the listing, and our privacy policy, before you install.

Can you build something custom for our inventory?

Yes. Multi-warehouse rules, supplier feeds and automatic sync with other systems are the kind of project we take on. See our Shopify development page or get in touch.
